Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Engineering Teacher at Miller Middle School for the second semester of the 24/25 school year. Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization is required. Colorado teaching license with a Math endorsement or an Engineering background preferred. Substitute assignment starts January 6, 2025 through May 27, 2025.
The rate for long term susbtituting is $265 per day.
Requirements include:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for the right candidate. Contact Colorado Department of Education at http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdeprof to apply for a substitute license or a teaching license.
- Experience working with middle students in a classroom setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, basic math, and basic writing skills.
- Minimum of two professional or academic references. We do not accept family or friends as references.
