Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for an Interventionist for Miller Middle School for the 2024/2025 school year.  This interventionist will work with the Math Team to assist in developing and implementing interventions with students who need additonal support in mathematics.  Colorado Teaching License required, with experience delivering instruction and interventions.  Begins ASAP

SUMMARY: Assist Math Teachers in developing and delivering interventions to students who need additional support in mathematics.  In collaboration with the mathematics teachers, plan and deliver interventions and specialized instruction. Supervise assigned students and maintain a positive learning environment. Responsible to actively progress monitor student goals. Work with mathematics teahcers to provide direct and indirect support and adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Maintain positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff and community members.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:  Minimum: Bachelor’s degree of related subject from accredited university.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Experience is preferred but may not be necessary for hiring.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:  Colorado Teaching License.  Complete CPI training upon hire.
