Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for Extended School Year Teachers to support the ESY Summer Program. Tuesday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. June 22, 2021 - July 22, 2021. ESY will not be in session the week of July 5th.
Valid CO teaching license, or a CO Special Services Provider License required
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work all 12 days of the program
- Prepare and implement lesson plans
- Will track data as identified in student's IEP and complete progress reports
- Adhere to ESY requirements
- Overseeing snack and lunch time
- Helping students on/off the bus daily
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Good attendance
- Be organized and able to multi-task
- Experience working with Elementary, Middle School, and/or High School students
- Enhance learning for students with special needs in the ESY program
- Works closely with the program director, paraprofessionals and other teachers to ensure successful implementation of program goals
- Works with special needs students in small group settings to maximize learning
