Job duties include:
- Research and provide explanations regarding complex or quantitative analysis to others related to accounts, ledgers, funds, and general accounting methodology.
- Perform accounting tasks pertaining to the capitalization policies set forth by district accounting policies and procedures.
- Reconcile District’s Bond capital outlay accounts, repair and maintenance records and other fixed asset reconciliations necessary to the appropriately account for both the District’s capital and monitored assets including researching and correcting discrepancies between District records and other sources.
- Establish and maintain procedures for accounting for Bond fund.
- Review, research, and prepare original journal entries to record financial data in the general ledger and sub-ledgers as deemed necessary; review journal entries submitted by other District departments, research and revise as necessary.
- Perform budget to actual reconciliation and analysis over Bond fund.
- Research and document recommendations on governmental accounting standards, new pronouncements and proposed accounting treatments.
- Assist in ensuring bond vendors are set up and paid on a timely basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
