Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for English and Math tutors to support students in credit recovery at Durango High School.  Tutors may have 4-5 students per time slot and session.  Sessions will be held on an in-person and/or Zoom format, depending on schedule.  The time slots available are daily:

• 8:30 am - 9:30 am and
• 11:30 am - 12:30 pm (2:00 pm - 3:00 pm when classes return to full day)

There will be two 4 week sessions

1. 3/29/21 - 4/23/21
2. 5/3/21 - 5/28/21

This position is an adjunct position with no benefits and begins ASAP.

• Tutoring program will support high school students working on credit recovery
• Tutors may work 1:1 or with small groups of students 

• Report to tutoring session on time and prepared to work.
• Show initative by doing what needs to be done without waiting to be asked.
• Treat students, fellow educators, and other school personnel with respect.
• Have strong communication skills.  Are willing to ask questions and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the class.
• Are eager to learn about their facilitator position and are open to new perspectives
• Collaborate with teachers, students, and other educators.
• Do quality work and remember that doing their very best will result in high achievement for students.
• Are knowledgeable about, understand and adhere to district/site policies and procedures.

 Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current college students or individuals with college degree(s) preferred
