Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Head Volleyball Coach at DHS for the 2020/2021 school year. The regular season begins mid August 2020 and runs through mid-November 2020.
This position is responsible for all aspects of the Volleyball Program at Durango High School, to include but not limited to the following:
-supervision, mentoring, and assisting in the evaluation of assistant coaches
-administration of budget -team supervision and discipline -care and inventory of uniforms and equipment -care of facilities -effective communication with school administration, players and parents -involvement with middle school and community based programs -fundraising -practice and competition planning
Minimum Qualifications: • Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License • Fundamental knowledge of volleyball • Experience working with related school aged athletes/students • Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff • Current medical injury treatment course work
