Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Head Girls' Lacrosse Coach at Durango High School. The season begins March 2, 2020 and runs through May 27, 2020.
This position is responsible for the Durango High School Girls Lacrosse team, assistant coaches, running and attending practices, with proactive, responsible coaching during games and practices and throughout the season. Responsibilites to include but not limited to the following:
- -supervision, mentoring, and assisting in the evaluation of assistant coaches
- -administration of budget
- -team supervision and discipline
- -care and inventory of uniforms and equipment
- -care of facilities
- -effective communication with school administration, players and parents
- -involvement with middle school and community based programs
- -fundraising
- -practice and competition planning
Additional responsiblites outside of the season to prepare may be necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License
- Fundamental knowledge of lacrosse
- Experience working with related school aged athletes/students
- Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff
- Current medical injury treatment course work
