Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Art Teacher at Durango High School for the second semester of the 19/20 school year. Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization is required. Colorado teaching license with art endorsement or art degree preferred. Starts January 21, 2020 through June 4, 2020.
The rate for long term susbtituting is $170 per day.
Requirements include:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for the right candidate. Contact Colorado Department of Education at http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdeprof to apply.
- Experience working with high school students in a classroom setting.
- Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, basic math, and basic writing skills.
- Minimum of two professional or academic references. We do not accept family or friends as references.
